Sweety High is looking for an amazing software engineer for the hottest, most interactive destination for young teens online. Sweety High software engineers will work closely with the executive management team, and the user experience team to expand the capabilities of Sweety High’s proprietary platform.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

What are the day to day responsibilities of this role? We have an incredible user experience team and you’ll be called on to translate the business requirements into functional and technical specs. You’ll be architecting and designing scalable, reliable and secure web applications that will support millions of users (yes millions). It will also be important that you play well with others because you’ll be working closely with our friends (i.e. third party partners) on integration and migration projects.

It will also be important that you document, optimize and re-factor existing code, SQL queries, and engineering processes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Minimum 2 years experience with Ruby, and Ruby on Rails required

• Knowledge of object oriented programming and design patterns

• Knowledge of re-factoring with unit/functional tests, and SQL query optimization

• Knowledge of scripting languages including PHP, Pearl, etc.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience (4+ years)
