Develop application features with a focus on the UI experience, contribute to interaction and visual design of user features, performance measurement and tuning, A/B testing. Successful candidates will be able to do middle tier development to support features and can work well with back end infrastructure specialists

EXPERIENCE (required):

• 5 years web application development experience with at least 2 years experience at a high-traffic consumer web site

• Ability to do rapid prototyping of new features in parallel with design

• Passion for the development of high-quality web UI

• 4 years experience XHTML, HTML CSS

• 4 years plus experience working with and resolving cross-browser compatibility issues

• 4 years experience JavaScript/Ajax - deep knowledge of common JavaScript libraries and an ability to "do it by hand" when appropriate.

• Hands-on experience doing widgets mash-ups, such as Google Maps, Flickr Photo Widget, or similar.

• Experience with mid-tier technologies: Web Services, XML, SOAP, SAX, Ruby on Rails, Active Record and/or J2EE technologies including EJB, Spring, Hibernate, Struts

• Front-end optimization experience

• Ability to convert visual designs/wireframes into HTML

• Ability to shift gears quickly
