General
We are looking for a proficient Rails developer who has a passion for simplicity and a fondness for elegant design solutions. The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced client-service environment, and they will be able to collaborate with creative, strategic and technical personnel in a cross-functional team setting.
The duration of the project will be between 2-4 months.
The Project
+ Building a vertical web application that is designed to help clients make critical decisions and manage a specific project workflow
+ The core of the project will revolve around a reusable decision system that can be modified by Siegel+Gale for use on multiple, custom client projects.
+ Additional functionality will include a simple user account registration, authentication and management system.
Skills Required
+ Web application development with at least 4 years of experience
+ 2 years+ experience must be with Rails
+ Strong AJAX and other JavaScript effects development skills is a must
+ Experience with other web development languages, please list
+ Strong working knowledge of web application deployment is preferred
+ Ability to setup server development environment (version control, rails, linux)
+ Knowledge of solutions for dynamically scaling for traffic and future growth
Communication
+ Will report to the Technical Strategist who leads all development initiatives for the agency
+ Required to engage in highly collaborative work sessions
+ Proven ability to work in a Agile development environment
+ Will have daily briefings every morning to discuss development progress
+ Must be available to work on site at Siegel+Gale offices in Los Angeles, CA for the first 4 weeks of the project
