Full-time Rails with Dr Nic and Mocra in Brisbane
Working from the best city in the world, Brisbane, we work with great clients across USA, UK, Asia and Australia. We have a client base that's expanding all the time. All software is written by developers in pairs, on OS X machines, with daily communication with clients and with a huge 6x2m whiteboard wall for collaborating and arguing. We practice Agile and test/behaviour driven development.
We need an experienced developer who also loves working with Rails and has experience with managing clients to join our team of web developers and designers. You will be working with Dr Nic (http://drnicwilliams.com), Bo Jeanes (http://bjeanes.com), Jack Chen (http://chendo.net) and Odin Dutton (http://twe4ked.com).
We all work from a great office in Milton, inner-city suburb of Brisbane, which is near great cafes, restaurants, trains and buses. Remote work is not an option as we rely heavily on everyone being in the same office since most of our clients are remote.
This is a full-time job with remuneration in line with local Brisbane salaries for your skill level as a Rails developer. Trial week/probation period applies.
Critical hiring criteria include:
* you have built a Rails application and deployed it
* you have previously enjoyed working directly/collaborating/educating external clients (not necessarily Rails clients)
Preferred criteria:
* you have been a self-employed consultant who has sourced, converted and managed clients.
* contributed/started an open source project
* be able to start in early March
* Agile experience
* pair programming experience
