Ruby / Ruby On Rails - Experienced Developer / Team Lead

Job Description

1. Developing applications using Open Source systems.

2. Translate product specifications into technology stack.

3. Hands-on coding.

4. Comfortable with performance optimization, maintaining code quality.

5. Team leading (necessary only if you are applying for Team Lead position).

6. Beyond traits captured in the job description the things that would be a bonus for this role are:

• Agile programming skills.

• Strong OO design skills.

• Web experience: Should have 2-5 year core

development experience in Ruby/Perl/Python (in order

of preference).

• MySQL/Postgres.

• Comfortable working on Linux environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. Should enjoy programming.

2. Experience: Two to five years' programming experience.

3. Knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, web application development, quality software development.

4. Excellent conceptual, analytical and programming skills.

5. Should have application design experience.

6. Familiarity with Open Source web application frameworks.

7. Participation in Open Source communities is an added advantage.

8. Team leading experience (necessary only if you are applying for Team Lead position).
