The Role

Looking for an experienced RoR developer who has the skills and character to mentor, direct and support a small remote team to get the best performance and most efficient code.

Must be effective working remotely and experienced with managing small teams remotely via campfire, skype, Pivotal Tracker etc and dealing with some of the frustrations this can bring, but also basking in the glory when it all comes together like a well oiled machine :-)

Expert with Pivotal Tracker, User Stories, Cucumber and all the other good stuff to help embed a best practice standards approach and tidy up existing application code as well as manage new features and enhancements.

You would make a significant impact on quality standards, optimum coding approaches and overall velocity. This is a great opportunity and challenge for the right person wishing to move into Agile Leadership and Management with a chance to focus on developing you agile management skills and put into practice what you know works to deliver awesome code to be proud of, you may not be coding much yourself but will have huge influence on what is created.

Must be UK based with (very) occasional client side meetings and face 2 face company meetings (normally within London or the South East) - around once a month on average, the main role being remote working.

A part time employee contract is preferred at around 20 hours a week but there is flexibility for the right person.

This is a great opportunity to work with a small company (not an agency) delivering a very unusual and exciting web application.
