Amazing Software Engineer -Front End Developer - Financial Applications - Java/J2EE/SQL/Unix/Linux - San Francisco, CA

Requires: GPA of 3.6 or higher will immediately be considered; Between 3.3 and 3.6 possibly considered but nothing under 3.3 OR outstanding accomplishments/experience.

MS or PhD preferred

Client is searching for someone to push the envelop on seriously complex applications with a high degree of computation sophistication on very large databases in a distributed environment and in a real time environment. The right person is highly likely to contribute to the creation of patents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong analytical engineering skills.

• Ambitious, driven, and talented individual who wants to work on challenging and potentially world-changing problems

• Team player who feels at home in an open and flat-structured environment, and takes pride in a job well done

• Strong all-round engineer who writes well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code

• At least two years of experience developing with Java, Python or Ruby

• Good knowledge of Internet Technologies, Java server and backend/database development

• Experience with SQL, Hibernate, Java and J2EE technologies, XML APIs and other RPC mechanisms

• Proficient in a Unix/Linux environment

• Experience developing with Python and/or Ruby preferred.

• Familiarity with financial concepts preferred

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field from good university with high GPA; Masters/PhD preferred

• Experience in visualization techniques is a plus.

• Experience with Amazon Platform preferred.

Duties:

• Architect, build, and test new complex products and services

• Develop and expand infrastructure to process high volume financial transactions and run fault-tolerant compute-Intensive mathematics applications
