Kinesis is an exciting consultancy that is determined to make a difference. Our field is climate change, sustainability and providing carbon management and reporting solutions to business and government.

Our clients are leaders within government, corporate business and small enterprise who share our aim of becoming recognised innovators within the climate change space.

Kinesis has been up and running for 3 years and we are now in a position to expand our crack team of people to work on existing and future projects.

The team is small and focused, with a mix of scientific analysts and mathematicians, a senior web developer and an expert consultancy team - all of whom contribute to our digital development programme.

The Role:

You will work alongside our senior web developer to gain a comprehensive understanding of our existing web enabled services and to contribute to the development and maintenance of new functionality and online tools. You will also be periodically working with some of the best Ruby and GUI experts in their field.

Skills required:

Minimum 1 years experience creating Ruby on Rails Web applications

Full SDLC experience

Good JavaScript/ AJAX

Basic SQL

Competence in XHTML, CSS

Good documentation skills

The capacity to work to tight time-frames and deliver on schedule

Generous people skills and the ability to work in a high-achieving team environment

Highly Desirable:

JQuery experience

Test-driven development / Unit testing Behaviour-driven development / RSpec

Mac based development environment
