MECS Europe are working directly with a central London based Mobile/Multimedia agency specialising in the design and build or multiple web2.0 sites and hosting services across multiple industry sectors. Having recently won an award for our innovative high-performance solutions they strive on being the best with technology and always push to improve our products to suit the end-users.

Due to the global demand of our high-performance products we are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer to join our award winning team with immediate effect.

Being a Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer you will join a highly experienced team to develop all new Ruby/Rails based applications. We are massively focused to deliver user friendly applications so you will be in charge of developing your own platform to work from and have the chance to share you architecture with the team. All development is carried out using TDD (Agile) and Paired Programming methods.

Required Skills:

To join this team as a Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer you will need to have 18 months + commercial Rails experience within an Agile/TDD environment, be up-to-date with OO programming techniques with strong knowledge in MySQL database admin and Unix/Linux command line use.

In addition TDD is carried out using Rspec and cucumber so any exposure to this is highly desirable.

Desired skills:

This is an opening to deliver high end applications whilst working in a cool office within a dynamic team based in central London.
