Rails Senior Developer / Team Lead (SoHo) at ideeli
We're growing the team again and we're looking for someone who can lead a handful of developers. You are a hands on developer who likes to get stuff done, but who also can juggle the workstacks and priorities of a few other experienced developers to ensure that their features get completed on time. You'll report to the Director of Technology and work closely with the other Rails Team Leads to collectively deliver much needed features to the business, release after release.
Of course, you know how to build robust, fault-tolerant software and contribute to the design of new features to ensure that they scale to hundreds of request per second. You want to work hard in a fast paced environment with very smart people.
So, that's you who are we?
Located in NYC (SoHo), ideeli, Inc. (www.ideeli.com) is the fastest growing members-only online shopping community in the U.S.
ideeli.com was implemented entirely in Ruby on Rails. We believe in small teams, agile development, quick turnaround, and getting things done. Across the entire company you'll find we're exceptionally ambitious and have been so successful that our initial investors have all increased their investment.
Our user base continues to grow and we are selling more products to more users, even faster! This demand creates some interesting challenges and therefore we are looking to broaden our team with the additional developers, architects, system engineers and support to help solve these.
Our needs extend to scalability, integrations with mobile phones (WAP, iPhone, etc), integration with accounting/tax systems and other non-HTTP environments, advanced UI, and much more. We are seeking a creative, passionate person who enjoys working hard as part of an effective, small team.
