Now Down To Business…

The ideal candidate will join a small agile team in the development of a new web product that is targeted for Beta launch within an aggressive time-frame. We are looking for an experienced hands-on Ruby on Rails developer who has experience with leveraging Rails best practices and is willing to find a path to success by researching and recommending alternatives when faced with challenging situations.

Skills/Qualifications-

Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Ruby on Rails development and architecture experience

Nginx, Mongrel, GIT, Capistrano, Memcached and other services supporting Rails-Central in the development of 2+ ROR production systems with one that is a high traffic consumer public facing site

Applies OOD and Design Patterns to software design problem solving-Tackled clustering/caching, threading and performance issues

Worked in a fast paced agile environment with continuous integration, unit/integration/load/performance testing-RDBMS experience including schema design and content modeling-Strong command of web standards and best practices
