Amtex Systems Inc is currently seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer for a 3 - 6 Months contract opportunity with our client in the Los Angeles, CA.

Bill Rate: DOE

Duration: 3-6 months

Description:

The ideal candidate will have:

*Minimum of 3 years of Ruby on Rails experience with several projects deployed

*MySQL DB Design and optimization

*Creating front-end interfaces using Javascript; designing AJAX interactions

Must have skills:

*Fluency in Ruby, Javascript, SQL, PHP, HTML and CSS

*Write clean, efficient, and beautiful code (Rails or Cake preferred)

*Believe in testing early and often

*Solve technical problems (e.g. Bandwidth Management, Load-balancing, etc.)

*Familiarity with OSX Server side setup and configuration

*Integration with Open Directory (Open LDAP)

Preferred Attributes:

*Experience using version control and source code management

*Software (Subversion, GIT, etc.)
