This is an on-site - freelance postion!

Responsible for building high-quality web software with the Ruby on Rails framework, maintaining existing web properties, and participating in the planning/creative phase for new projects. Must be familiar with deployment strategies using Capistrano, Passenger, Engine Yard and Heroku. Knowledge of social media APIs is preferred. Ability to work on an agile team in a fast-paced environment is essential. The Rails Developer will report to the Director of Technology.

• Minimum 2 Years Experience

• Knowledge of server administration/deployment strategies

• Experience in implementing performance testing metrics

• Experience in developing high-traffic sites

• Extensive knowledge of current testing frameworks: RSpec, Cucumber, etc..

• HAML/SASS knowledge a plus, but not required

• jQuery knowledge a plus

• Experience with Git

• Experience developing on a Mac (since we're a Mac office)

• MySQL, SQLite3, Postgres

• Knowledge of common Ruby libraries (especially Facebook, Twitter, YouTube libraries)
