SiteMinder (www.siteminder.com.au) is looking for a mid-level to senior Ruby On Rails developer based in Sydney CBD

You will be working full time on a market leading online booking application. Our development environment is exciting and characterised by short release cycles across a variety of products that bring immediate value to our customers. The team is highly collaborative and you will be deeply involved in all aspects of the development cycle from architecture and design, through to delivery. You will be given ownership and the chance to make a real impact to our technology offering and will not just be another number.

Some of the technology in our stack includes mysql, rails, haml + sass, jquery, formtastic, paperclip, authlogic, CanCan, factory_girl, rspec, cucumber & co

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skill sets:

Required Skills/Experience:

Proficient in Ruby, Rails, Javascript & Sql

Experience with HTML and CSS

Comfortable working on Mac OSX

Very strong Object Oriented Design Skills

Strong database/data-modelling skills, preferably with MySQL

Highly familiar with at least one version control system – Git would be a plus

Ability to work autonomously and efficiently

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Desired Skills/Experience:

Involved with Ruby community
