I have this opening (job description below) for a Ruby on Rails developer in NY / Boston on c2c for 6 weeks. Telecommute is an option

Job Description:

Talented Ruby on Rails developer with strong programming skills (6+ years) with Web development experience (2+ years on Ruby on Rails)

experience working on Mongrel, Apache, MySQL setup.

Should have experience is setting up Ruby on Rails in a cluster environment for production in a Linux environment. Should be comfortable in HTML/CSS/JavaScript

Responsibilities will include the following -

Responsible to optimize Ruby on Rails application on a clustered Apache, Mongrel, MySQL environment for high availability and scalability requirement.

Will be working on implementation of MemCache, RoR Clustering setup in a Cloud environment.

Should have setup and deployment experience with Apache, Mongrel, MySQL, RH Linux stack for RoR in a clustered environment on cloud.
