Ruby on Rails Developer - Boulder CO contract position

Develop software applications in the IT Security domain. The applications generally fall into 2 categories: 1) Data analysis and presentation and 2) ETL. Applications center around a security data warehouse, manipulating data being feed into it or extracted from it (mainly written in python), or analyzing, managing and presenting data (Ruby on Rails or PHP). This position is immediately for a project to develop a data managing project, expected to be written in Ruby on Rails. However, following projects may be in any area surrounding the security data warehouse.

Three years experience with

- Ruby on Rails

(ideally), Python, or PHP

- HTML and CSS

- SQL

- Linux/Unix

Software Engineering

The ideal candidate would also have

- US

Citizenship

- Understanding of YAML, JSON, XML

- Familiarity with Apache

HTTP server

- Experience writing SQL for DB2 or MYSQL

- Knowledge of

security & compliance data

- Lightweight project management skills

-

Lightweight System and/or Software architecture skills

- Some experience in

Test Driven Development

- Familiarity with ETL and data warehousing methods

or technologies

- Experience developing web services
