Summary:

We are a fast-growing company in sunny California is looking for an outstanding Ruby on Rails engineer with strong web development skills and an enthusiasm for creating excellent web based products. The ideal candidate will work directly with our product and engineering teams to have direct influence on the path and quality of our top of the line web crawling engine.

Job Duties:

Develop application features throughout the stack. Successful candidates will be able to do front-end, middle-tier and back-end infrastructure development in a team oriented environment.

Prerequisites:

- 4+ years web application development experience with a MINIMUM of 2+ years experience at a high-traffic consumer web site

- MUST HAVE HEAVY experience in Ruby on Rails

- MUST HAVE world-class expertise using relational databases, specifically MySQL is MUST!!!

- MUST HAVE the ability to work within a team in a vertical search start-up

- MUST HAVE excellent implementation skills

- MUST HAVE outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

- MUST BE committed to test driven development

- MUST HAVE a working experience with JSON and JavaScript support libraries such as jQuery, scriptaculous, extJS, prototype, and others.
