Roomorama is looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails developer to join our Singapore team.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities would be to assist our main developers in their work and help us develop new features for roomorama.com as well as help maintaining the current version of the product and help weeding out any bugs that might occur.

For you this means a chance to embark on a new challenge and further your experience in Rails programming as part of a small dynamic team that loves agile development and new technologies, work on a large and fast-growing customer-facing product, and hopefully have fun while doing it.

assist the managing team with all administrative work

undertake users’ database quality control tasks

perform other duties as needed

Requirements:

work independently, exercising discretion and good judgment while maintaining timelines and working with minimum direct supervision

good knowledge of Ruby and Rails 2.x/3

knowledge of Relational Databases (MySQL, SQLite)

HTML/CSS/Javascript (jQuery) coding skills

knowledge of testing frameworks (we use Cucumber/Capybara and RSpec)

a strong belief in clean and beautiful code and the discipline to follow existing formatting standards

good team player and good written and oral English communication

remote working not applicable to this position (we will NOT respond to any agents or companies solicitations)

Additionally it'd be great if you had knowledge in the following

Have experience in a startup environment

Knowledge of online project management and code management tools (Github, Lighthouse, Hoptoad)
