Senior Web Developer - HTML/CSS/JQuery - Los Angeles (Westside) - Full Time

Global Fitness Media is hiring a Senior Web Developer to lead front-end implementation of FitOrbit.com, a ground breaking online fitness service. We will soon begin a project to rebuild our entire user interface, so the right candidate will have the opportunity to lay his or her own foundation for future development.
Responsibilities:
o Translate designs and style guides into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility, performance and robustness.
o Assume full control of HTML/CSS, maintaining code organization and cleanliness
o Work with CTO and back end developers to implement AJAX and dynamic HTML functionality in jQuery
o Contribute to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface and assisting with quality assurance testing
Qualifications:
o Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
o Strong experience building leading consumer-oriented websites compatible with IE6/7/8, Firefox and Safari (must be able to show portfolio of relevant work)
o Strong experience with jQuery, AJAX and dynamic HTML
o Familiarity with at least one templating language (e.g. Ruby on Rails, JSP, ASP, Template Toolkit). Must be able to use simple control structures (if/then/else, for loops, etc)
o Experience with Ruby on Rails is a strong plus
o Experience with subversion and Photoshop desired
