Responsibilities:

• Implement the next generations of our website, which includes the livestream website (http://www.livestream.com), the livestream account center(https://secure.livestream.com) and twitcam website (http://twitcam.livestream.com) and other livestream content publishing and admin tools.

• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of the code base to support the growth of our high-traffic platform.

• Interact on a daily basis with the team in US for project discussions, understanding requirements and progress updates.

Requirements:

• Strong relevant skills with 4 – 6 years of experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Ruby language and rails framework. The ideal candidate also masters another language such as PHP or Python.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and JSON.

• Proficient knowledge of object oriented development and OOPS concepts.

• Experience in javascript libraries like JQuery etc.

• Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns, such as MVC.

• Knowledge and experience in relational databases preferably MySQL.

• Understanding of RESTful architectures and experience working/interacting with web services.

• Unix/Linux development experience preferred.

• Good communication skills & strong team player.

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments with weekly release schedules.

• Experience with version control systems.
